Police Warn Livermore Residents to be on Alert After Woman Attacked on Arroyo Trail
The victim, 29, was attacked at about 6 p.m. near Arroyo Road.

Livermore police said today they will be adding extra patrols on the Arroyo Trail after a woman was attacked and injured there Tuesday evening.
The victim, a 29-year-old Livermore woman, was attacked at about 6 p.m. Tuesday on the trail near Arroyo Road. Police said they would not release details of the nature of the attack but noted that the victim is being treated for her injuries.
Residents walking in the area are urged to remain alert and aware of what is happening around them, to stay out of secluded and poorly lit areas and avoid wearing headphones that cover both ears, according to police. Whenever possible, police said residents should walk with another person and carry a cellphone programmed with the direct number for Livermore police dispatch at (925) 371-4987 to report any suspicious behavior or people.
