POPPY RIDGE GOLF COURE- Janitor Part-Time

Basic Functions:

The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to position are included.

Assists with cleaning other areas of the property as requested.

Essential Functions:

· Cleans and services restrooms.

· Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors. Spot treat carpet when necessary

· Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials

· Dust blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items

· Polishes furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.

· Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies.

· Washes walls, ceilings, wood work, windows, mirrors, and fixtures

· Makes rounds of buildings, grounds and parking lot at regular intervals ; inspects doors, windows, and locks to see that they are in working order; clears litter and other debris

· Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.

· Performs additional responsibilities as requested

Qualifications:

Knowledge

· Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines

· Knowledge of safe and economical uses of cleaning products and chemicals to insure a high level of cleanliness without waste

Skills/Aptitudes

· Comprehensive understanding of the English language

· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers

Working Conditions

· This position will spend 100% of the time standing/moving

· Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water

· Ability to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
