Former Oakland Raider Bob Brown will be speaking to students on Wednesday.

In conjunction with the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s “Heart of a Hall of Famer” series, Gold Jacket and former Raider, Bob Brown will be speaking at Del Valle High School to students on Wednesday, October 1st at 9:00am. Bob Brown’s message will focus on character education and the importance of character in your life. The program will include a question and answer period in which Mr. Brown will field questions from Del Valle High School students as well as questions from students at participating high schools that are part of the video-conference.

A recent addition to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Youth/Educational Program is the Heart of a Hall of
Famer series. This program provides students the opportunity to learn first-hand what it took, beyond athletic ability, for legendary Heroes of the Game to achieve success on and off the football field with a focus on positive character qualities.

Live interaction with a Hall of Fame player is provided to students through video conferencing. While some programs originate from Canton, Ohio, others originate in the community of the featured Hall of Famer and then broadcast to schools across the country. The series is designed for grades 4th-12th and are free of charge.
