CS 401 - Public Speaking & Debate, Level One
In this combo class students learn the importance of knowing why they're giving their speech, who their audience is and practice. They also learn how to write and give speeches with confidence, humor, quotes, stories, eye contact, supportive body language, good openings and memorable closes. In debating a variety of fun, age-appropriate topics, they learn how to make strong arguments backed by reasoning and evidence, and develop stronger critical thinking, logic and listening skills.

Personal Finance -101
Being smart with ones money is an important skill to have. This course is designed to teach students financial literacy, independence and smart money management. In this first overview course, the students learn strategies to monitor income and expenses, and planning and saving for future goals. They compare risks and benefits of different financial instruments, how to write checks, use online payments and other ways to make payments. They also learn the concept and power of compounding.
