Rich Block, Poor Block: How Do Neighborhoods In Livermore Compare?
Do different parts of Livermore have different income levels?

Drive through Livermore and you will notice that some neighborhoods are more affluent than others. But just how wide is the disparity between different parts of town?
A new data-based website, Rich Blocks, Poor Blocks provides some answers to that question. The site uses U.S. census information compiled from the 2007-2011 American Community Survey to show median household income and monthly rents by census tract.

The data shows that the median household income in Livermore ranges from just under $70,000 to slightly more $110,000.
Two of the highest income neighborhoods are the census tracts near Max Baer Park. They have annual median household incomes of between $112,000 and $119,000.

Another neighborhood in the $112,000 range is the tract surrounding Robertson Park.
Two other higher income areas are east of downtown along Las Positas Road near South Vasco Road. The two census tracts there have median household incomes of $103,000 and $105,000 a year.
Another neighborhood above $100,000 is the tract around Las Positas Golf Course. The annual median income there is $104,000.
The neighborhoods north of Interstate 580 that include the Springtown Golf Course, Bill Clark Park and Christensen Park have median incomes of about $95,000.
The homes around downtown Livermore have median annual incomes of $69,500.
The neighborhoods immediately south and east of downtown have median incomes in the $80,000 range.
The range for median household income in California is $53,000 to $68,000 a year.
