Scholarship Opportunity

The Livermore Filipino-American Organization, Inc. is now accepting applications for its 2018 scholarship awards. They are for graduating high school seniors from Livermore High School and Granada High School whose families are members of the organization. Not a member yet? It's easy to join, and the cost is only a one-time lifetime fee of $15.
There are 3 monetary awards in the following increments: $1000 for first place, $750 for second place, and $500 for third place. In addition to being members, students must be in good academic standing, be active in the community, and submit an essay with the topic "Growing up as a Filipino-American".
The deadline to submit is April 30, 2018, and winners will be announced on May 14, 2018. The awards will be presented at the organization's annual Flores de Mayo event on May 19, 2018.
