School District Seeks Applicants for Citizens’ Bond Committee
The committee is responsible for preparing an annual report that it presents to the Board of Education at the end of June.

From LVJUSD: The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) invites Livermore community members to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). Applications for one open position are available on the LVJUSD website, and are due by Friday, September 7, 2018. Applicants should be a member of the community at large.
Committee members serve a two-year term. The CBOC typically meets in the evening at the LVJUSD District Office. The committee meets throughout the year on dates agreed upon by its members. In addition, the committee is responsible for preparing an annual report that it presents to the Board of Education at the end of June.
Livermore voters approved Measure J, a General Obligation (GO) bond measure, on June 7, 2016. The bond measure authorizes funds to repair and upgrade the District’s facilities in order to ensure a safe and modern education environment for all students. Recent projects include new playgrounds for elementary schools, stadium renovations at the high schools, and a district-wide data infrastructure upgrade. The measure requires the formation of an independent citizens’ bond oversight committee consisting of at least seven community members.
