Secretary Of Energy Rick Perry Visits Sandia In Livermore

From Sandia: On Tuesday, March 27, Sandia/California welcomed U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry to the site. Hosted by Laboratories Director Stephen Younger, Associate Labs Director Dori Ellis, and Deputy to the Associate Labs Director Andy McIlroy, the Secretary was briefed on the California Weapons Program and Sandia’s work in Civilian Cyber.

He visited with staff on the W80-4 program, taking time to praise the employees for their commitment to national security and identify the Texans in the group.

The Secretary’s visit ended in the Combustion Research Facility, where he learned how combustion science enables improved engine efficiency and received an overview of Sandia’s science-enabled energy innovations.
