DESCRIPTION:
At nineteen, Anne Elliot, guided by those around her, broke off her engagement to Frederick Wentworth, a man without a title. Desolate, he joined the Navy and never contacted Anne again.Eight years later, by coincidence, they are forced to encounter each other. Jane Austen’s last complete novel, to many her best, comes to life in Jennifer Le Blanc’s graceful adaptation as Anne and Frederick, surrounded by Austen’s colorful characters, see if there are, indeed, second chances.
