Stay In Touch With Livermore Schools Through Mobile App

LVJUSD's mobile app is now available in the App Store and Google Play Store.

LIVERMORE, CA - As more and more people access the Internet from mobile devices including smart phones and tablets, the mobile application format has become a new standard in communications.

The Livermore Valley Joint School District has developed a new mobile application that will provide parents and community members with current District information including news stories, the school calendar and special events schedule.

“As Superintendent I am fully committed to keeping lines of communication open and active,” says Superintendent Kelly Bowers.

The mobile application was build in collaboration with School Messenger, the District’s provider of automated notifications including the all call and email alerts. School Messenger provides a suite of communications channels including email, text message, phone call, and now, mobile application alerts.

Geoff Warner, Chief Technology Officer for the District lead the effort to develop and refine the App. “Adding the mobile application increases our communications channels,” says Warner. “The App will give us another way to get in touch with parents in the case of emergency or student safety concerns, and will also provide access to resources, reference material and information.”

Today the application is available for free download in the iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.
