LIVERMORE, CA — A teen who is suspected of defacing more than $15,000 worth of property in Livermore has been arrested, the Livermore Police Department announced Tuesday. The 16-year-old juvenile, who's identity will not be released due to age, is suspected of painting graffiti within the East Avenue/Vasco Road corridor.

The investigation that led to the arrest this month has been ongoing over the last year, and began as graffiti popped up along the eastern part of town, most recently along Vasco Avenue, between Dalton Avenue and East Avenue, the Livermore PD reported. The graffiti tags were “LEVEL, WCR, WCRK, WC, WINE CITY REGULATORS, KUMUP, KP, and LV," according to the LPD.

As part of the graffiti investigation by the LPD's special operations unit, a search warrant was served Aug. 6 at 5720 East Avenue. Police said the search turned up "additional evidence of graffiti and graffiti paraphernalia." The teen was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism.
