Commuter Advisory: Patterson Pass Road Closes to All Traffic in July, August

County officials say the road will be closed for roughly two months.

Patterson Pass Road will be closed for construction starting next week.

Alameda County and Livermore Police officials released the following information about the upcoming closure:

Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 7, 2015. During construction, Patterson Pass Road will be completely closed to all vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic at mile marker 6.4 for 60 days (24 hours a day/7 days a week) during the project’s duration. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists to an alternate route.

At the project location (milepost 6.4), about a 1,500 foot stretch of the road will be closed to through traffic, bicyclists, and pedestrians (except for emergency vehicles); all other remaining portions of Patterson Pass Road should remain open for local residents. Construction/Road Closure is expected to last from July through September 2015.
