Livermore Vegetation Fires Burned Back-To-Back

Fires were reported early Wednesday morning and Tuesday evening in Livermore.

LIVERMORE, CA — Two vegetation fires were reported within hours of each other Wednesday and Tuesday in Livermore.

The first fire was reported at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, neat eastbound I-580 at the N. Livermore Avenue exit, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department reported on smartphone app PulsePoint. Alameda County and Camp Parks fire departments were on scene. People were evacuated from the area, LPFD said.

A second fire was confirmed at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, near 2700 Las Positas Road, PulsePoint shows.

Just hours earlier at 3:45 a.m., the Alameda County Fire Department battled a vegetation fire in Sunol, near southbound I-680, south of Vallecitos Creek and Highway 84, PulsePoint shows.

The weekend was a busy one for firefighters too. Three Tri-Valley wildfires were extinguished Sunday, including two in Livermore and one in Pleasanton. The largest spread to 12 acres.
