Volunteers Sought: Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Fest

This year's two-day celebration is May 19-20. Network and share your community enthusiasm, and score a wine-tasting package as a thanks.

LIVERMORE, CA – Volunteer sign-ups are underway for the 2018 Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Fest, set for Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and May 20.

More than 150,000 attendees are expected, along with 300-plus vendor booths, at the annual street fair which will be along First Street, from P to Maple streets, and on Second Street, from N to K streets, according to organizers, Livermore Downtown.

Volunteers are needed to help pour beer and wine tastings, and registration is open. Volunteers must be 21 years of age or older and will complete a video training.

On Saturday, the wine-pour shift is full, but space is available for beer pourers from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Details here.

As a thank you, volunteers will receive a wine-tasting package for the weekend, organizers said.

General admission is free to the street fest, which will feature, along with the tastings, arts and crafts, restaurants and boutique shopping, live entertainment, a family-fun zone and a lifestyle pavilion hosting wine, beer, olive oil and culinary presentations.
