Vulcan Plant Fire Contained: LPFD

Firefighters were able to contain a fire that broke out Wednesday evening at the Vulcan Materials plant by the quarry.

LIVERMORE, CA — A fire broke out Wednesday evening at the Vulcan Materials plant in Livermore near the Pleasanton border.

The fire broke out at a steel superstructure around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Chief Jason Solak told Patch.

Access and water was a challenge early on, but crews contained the blaze in about 30 minutes, Solak said. No injuries were reported, and Solak does not have details on any structural damage.
