Arroyo Valle in Sycamore Grove Park Livermore

With the rain we've been having, Arroyo Valle or Arroyo Del Velle was running high through Sycamore Grove Park this weekend.

Did you know the arroyo is a 36 mile-long westward flowing stream that begins in northeastern Santa Clara county and flows into Alameda county where it's dammed to form Lake Del Valle?

After the dam, Arroyo Valle is a tributary to Arroyo de la Laguna, which in turn flows into Alameda Creek and from there to the San Francisco Bay.
