Wente Vineyards Hosts Live Music Fundraiser for Education

The Wente Vineyards Estate Winery will host a live music fundraiser to benefit the Wente Foundation for Arts Education and the Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF). Billed as Karl Wente Presents, the event will take place on the Estate Winery lawn from 11AM - 6PM on two Saturdays: August 15 and August 22. The August 15 lineup includes Wolf Hamlin & the Front Porch Drifters, Bacchus Brothers, and Peppermints. Wolf Hamlin & The Front Porch Drifters will also perform on August 22, along with Crawdad Republic and Left of Right. Both Saturdays will feature a raffle. The music kicks off at 2PM. The Wente Vineyards Estate Winery is located at 5565 Tesla Road in south Livermore.

Admission is $25 and includes a glass and wine tasting. A ticket without wine tasting costs $10. Tickets are available at the door, and food will be available for purchase.

The Wente Foundation and LVEF will share the raffle proceeds, and LVEF will receive $5 from every ticket purchased.

Karl Wente is a fifth-generation winemaker and Senior Vice-President of Winemaking for Wente Vineyards. He is staging this event as a way to celebrate his family’s role in the community and to support local education, about which he feels passionate. “I love the Livermore Valley and am honored and humbled by my family’s legacy here,” said Wente. “We have a long history of great food, wine, and music. I love making music with my friends and I’m thrilled to bring my favorite things together to support arts education in the Tri-Valley.” Wente is a founding member of Wolf Hamlin & The Front Porch Drifters.
