Wente Wine Autographed By 2 Famous Martins Auctioned Off

The bottle sold for as much as a new Dodge Charger.

LIVERMORE, CA — A bottle of Wente wine autographed by two famous comedians recently sold for as much a new Dodge Charger. The vino, which was signed by comic duo Steve Martin and Martin Short, was auctioned off before their Aug. 23 performance at the 2018 summer concerts series, according to Oakland Magazine. Although we don't know whether it was a white or a red, we do know it was a $30,000 win for charity.

At the end of every August, most of us who live and work in the Tri-Valley area know that Steve Martin is likely in town. Why? Because the actor and banjo player extraordinaire usually tweets about his visit when he stays. Although Martin is currently on a “posting hiatus,” he and Short perform for a packed house each year at the famous winery. Details about the concert can be found here.
