• Loma Linda University Hospital opens EmPATH Unit for behavioral health needs - Seventh-day Adventist Church (interamerica.org) — A new Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) Unit is coming to Loma Linda University Health, transforming the former emergency department into a 24-bed space for adults and children in crisis. Funded partly by $6 million in state mental health grants, the unit aims to ease ER crowding and expand compassionate behavioral health care for local families by 2027.
