AMMATOLI Serves Up The Tastes Of The Levant In Long Beach

Located on 3rd Street near the corner of Long Beach Blvd., AMMATOLI serves the cuisines of the Levant

The tastes of the Levant comes to The Streets in Downtown Long Beach as AMMATOLI restaurant officially opens on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Long Beach, Calif. AMMATOLI serves modern Mediterranean bites honoring the traditional recipes and exotic flavors from the cuisines of the Levant.

Joining the ribbon-cutting celebration was from left, Tony Shooshani, Managing Member of Shooshani Developers and owners of The Streets; Mark Taylor, Chief of Staff for Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia; and AMMATOLI owners Sam Habibeh and Dima Habibeh.

Participants and guests included Jennifer Kumiyama, staff member, 1st District Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez; DLBA stakeholders, along with a variety of city and business officials; and residents.

“This has been quite a journey in opening AMMATOLI in the heart of Downtown that specializes in healthy and delicious Mediterranean cuisine,” said Sam Habibeh, owner of AMMATOLI. “Our kitchen gains inspiration from the best cuisine the Levant has to offer. Our fresh creative menu items are made from scratch and health oriented. We now look forward to serving our neighbors and becoming immersed in the fabric of the local community.”

The Levant is a region rich in food culture, encompassing Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Palestine. AMMATOLI highlights Levantine cuisine in a way that is not only accessible but entices patrons to dive deeper into its ambitious menu. Levantine food is the epitome of the Mediterranean diet, cuisine that goes under the heading "healthy food," high on vegetables and big on flavor

“AMMATOLI is a terrific addition to the growing mix of restaurants and retail at The Streets in the core of Downtown Long Beach,” said Tony Shooshani, Managing Member of Shooshani Developers and owners of The Streets. “This stretch of 3rd Street is taking on its own identity with its new neighbors Burgerim and Table 301, along with the soon to open Portuguese Bend Distillery.”
