The cleanup event will be held Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. 

Spaces are limited and advance volunteer registration is required. To register, interested parties may call 562.570.1749 up to within 48 hours before the event. Same day in-person registration will not be accepted. Individuals must sign a COVID-19 volunteer waiver on site before participating. Additional details will be provided upon registration.

Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes; gloves and trash bags will be provided. While volunteering, all in-person program COVID-19 safety protocols must be maintained, including the use of face coverings, physical distancing and sanitization practices, in accordance with the State’s Guidance for Campgrounds and Other Outdoor Recreation.

In the event of rain, the cleanup will be canceled.

The Wetland Warriors Program has been postponed this past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic however, due to the current status of decreased COVID-19 cases and increases in people vaccinated in Long Beach, the program is now resuming its normal schedule, which will take place on the third Saturday of every month.
