Former Drug Addict Said Long Beach Cop Changed Her Life

When they last saw each other, she was a drug addict. Now, she's about to graduate from college.

LONG BEACH, CA – When Tiffany Hall last saw Lt. Jim Foster, she was a drug addict. Now, five years later, she's about to graduate from college. When the two saw each other for the first time in years Wednesday, Hall credited Foster's compassion for changing her life.

Hall surprised Foster at the Long Beach Police Department headquarters, and said Foster offered her encouragement even though he was the one taking her to jail, ABC7 reported. Hall recalls Foster telling her "Tiffany, you can do better than this. Tiffany, why don't you try to go to school. "

"I want to thank Lt. Jim Foster for his respect and his compassion and the empathy that he showed to me and anyone he came in contact with," Hall said.
