A free workshop to help students and parents applying for financial aid and scholarships is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at Jordan High School, 6500 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach.

Sponsored by State Assembly Member Anthony Rendon, the event will include representatives from the California Student Aid Commission along with local financial aid experts to answer questions about the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA), the California Dream Act, Middle Class Scholarship and more. Refreshments will be served.
