Officers responded at about 12:59 a.m. to the 700 block of Magnolia Avenue after receiving reports of a shooting, <a href="https://www.longbeach.gov/police/press-releases/murder-investigation--700-block-of-magnolia-avenue/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">according</a> to the Long Beach Police Department. When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided medical aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the suspect or suspects fled before officers arrived. Homicide detectives responded to investigate. The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
