Man Drives Himself To Hospital After Being Shot In Long Beach
The Long Beach Police Department is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday night.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man drove himself to the hospital after being non-fatally shot in Long Beach on Saturday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police said the injured man was shot in the 2200 block of Cedar Avenue. LBPD received a report of the shooting at approximately 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 7, but when officers arrived, neither the victim nor the suspect was at the scene.
"Upon arrival, officers located strike marks and a blood trail," LBPD said. " Officers canvassed the area for video, conducted safety checks, and searched for a possible witness."

The man with a gunshot wound believed to be the victim of the shooting was reported at a local hospital a short time later.
Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are still under investigation, police said.
