Man Riding Bike Shot In Long Beach: Police Investigation Continues
An investigation is ongoing, Long Beach police say.
LONG BEACH, CA — A man riding a bike in Long Beach was shot early Wednesday, police say.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Pacific Avenue just after 1 a.m., the Long Beach Police Department said.
When officers arrived, they found a man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper body, according to police.

Officers helped the man until Long Beach Fire Department rescuers arrived, police said, adding that rescuers took over caring for him and transported him to a hospital.
Initial investigation shows the man was riding his bike when he was shot, then rode to a local business, where bystanders called 911, police said.

According to police, “the victim was uncooperative with the investigation.”
Detectives are trying to gather information about a suspect and determine a motive, police said.
