The shooting was reported at 7:48 p.m. Sunday in the 5300 block of Atlantic Avenue, Long Beach Police Department Lt. Rogelio Q. Trias told City News Service. Arriving officers tended to the victim until paramedics arrived and took him to the hospital with wounds not believed life-threatening, Trias said. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, he said. Suspect information and a motive for the shooting are under investigation. — City News Service
