Mother Of 100
Why 25 people wanted to give Katie a moving Mother's Day gift has a lot to do with Katie.
Katie Hosseinzadeh was brought to tears when 25 people converged to give her a surprise gift of letters of appreciation for Mother’s Day, and we were delighted to be a part of it.
With her first two children (twins!) still in diapers, Katie started a daycare business. Over the next 20 years, Katie raised her own four children and helped take care of 100 daycare kids. Last year, Katie provided around the clock care for her husband who was terminally ill with liver cancer.
This year Katie’s children, Sheila, Sheiva, Sheida and Shayan, wanted to celebrate their mother and the impact she has had on her community.

Through our “Giftovus In Action” program, they asked for our help. Together we developed a number of ideas that would delight Katie. The best of the bunch was to give her a series of “letters of appreciation” from her children and daycare kids wrapped inside a scrapbook with pictures of them as children and now as adults.
