Motorcyclist Going 130 MPH On Long Beach Freeway Arrested After Collision: CHP

A motorcyclist wanted for speeding on the 710 Freeway and in Long Beach was arrested after colliding with a parked car, the CHP says.

LONG BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist wanted for speeding on the 710 Freeway and on surface streets in and around Long Beach was arrested after colliding with a parked car in Paramount Tuesday morning, the CHP says.

The man, whose name and city of residence have not yet been released, was going more than 130 mph on the Long Beach (710) Freeway and Del Amo Boulevard in Long Beach around 2:04 a.m. Tuesday, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

The suspect continued driving at high speeds as he transitioned from the 710 to the 105 Freeway before exiting at Garfield Avenue and entering a nearby neighborhood.

He eventually crashed into a parked truck near Racine and Fairlock avenues and ran away, Garcia said.

CHP officers caught up to him and then took the suspect into custody in the 13900 block of Florine Avenue in Paramount.
