Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Long Beach
The woman was walking in lanes of traffic at East 7th Street and Campus Drive, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
LONG BEACH, CA —A woman died after being struck by a car in front of California State University, Long Beach early Monday morning, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Officers received a call at 1:41 a.m. reporting a pedestrian who had been in the street and was hit at East 7th Street and Campus Drive. The woman had critical injuries and died at the scene after the collision, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Alcohol, drugs or distracted driving are not considered factors for this incident, officials said.

The woman's identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
