Soul Food is More Than Mamma's Cooking

No one can get over Big Ma cooking those pig feet for the special events, but no one expected the family to be the most awarded in the church family for its production of The Story of Christmas. It is a celebration. It is a celebration of how we overcame racism and prejudice. Now we can overcome that eyes bigger than the stomach feel three more times.

Three more times the anger from white supremacy is here still. What do we do? More affirmative action? Call all the Black Church to pull extra strings? Call the NAACP for the umpteenth time? Do you know how bad to the bone you have to be to defend even your honorable traditions these days? Some of us known to be stable families are out on the street and the racists whites that put us there are still not satisfied until we have no breath in our body.

Power to the people not only occurs in a civil rights speech on that special Sunday morning, by the honorable civil rights leaders like Jesse Jackson at some A.M.E. It is also done on those special holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving where we award Mr. honor roll student with a full ride to FAMU. Now, we all made it. The family of the sweet tooth knows how to also compliment and suggest when they eat that special pound cake that is the main sale of Mrs. wedding cake. Now we are never gonna want for nothing. Until we have no place to smell like we took a shower within the last week due to Mr. angry white supremacist. Now, he made it off with your loot and with your new business that you were gonna buy too.

Let's talk about the social impact of racism on Oct 22nd. It's an event called, Soul Food by Queen Black Persia House. You better believe that we eatin. And we are to deal a blow to the enemy cause we stayed up to pray up. Got up after we put legs on Faith. Now we ready to discuss white supremacy and the Soul Food that killed it.
