No Injuries Reported In Long Beach Structure Fire
The fire was burning on the second story balcony, but firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

LONG BEACH, CA – Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire in the 700 block of Newport Avenue in Long Beach, according to a Long Beach Fire Department captain. No one was injured in the blaze, which was located on a second-floor balcony, authorities said.
Almost one month ago on May 5, a two-alarm fire damaged two homes and a garage in North Long Beach and injured two firefighters, although no civilians were injured. It was reported just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Elm Avenue and 59th Street, Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Matt Dobberpuhl said. Forty firefighters were called to put out the blaze, Dobberpuhl said.
