Two Houses, One Garage Burn in Long Beach
It was reported just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Elm Avenue and 59th Street.

LONG BEACH, CA -- A two-alarm fire damaged two houses and a garage in North Long Beach and injured two firefighters Saturday, authorities said. It was reported just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Elm Avenue and 59th Street, Long Beach Fire Department Capt. Matt Dobberpuhl said. The exact time the flames were out was not available.
Forty firefighters were called to put out the blaze, Dobberpuhl said.
Two firefighters suffered "unknown injuries." No civilian injuries were reported.
