Suspect Arrested For Fatal Shooting In Long Beach
The shooting occurred about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Daisy Avenue near a homeless encampment, police said.

LONG BEACH, CA – A 29-year-old was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of fatally shooting another man in Long Beach. Carlos Gustavo Ohm, of Long Beach, was arrested about 9:20 a.m. Tuesday and booked on suspicion of murder, according to the Long Beach Police Department. He was being held on $2 million bail.
The shooting occurred about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of Daisy Avenue, which is near a homeless encampment where investigators believe the victim had been living, police said. Authorities withheld the name of the man, who died at the scene, pending notification of relatives.
Police were unsure of a motive for the crime, but said it did not appear to have been gang-related.
