Suspect Sought In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Long Beach
The 54-year-old Long Beach man was pronounced dead at the scene.
LONG BEACH, CA – Police sought public help Wednesday in finding the hit-and-run driver responsible for the death of a pedestrian in Long Beach.
The 54-year-old Long Beach man was injured about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near Long Beach and Artesia boulevards and died at the scene, the Long Beach Police Department reported. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
A black, newer-model sedan was southbound on Long Beach Boulevard, approaching Artesia Boulevard, when it collided with the pedestrian, who was walking westbound across Long Beach Boulevard outside of a crosswalk, according to police.
