Wrong-Way Driver Briefly Halts Traffic on 405 Freeway
Officers encountered a man in a vehicle stopped in the slow lane of the freeway just north of South Western Avenue

GARDENA, CA - A wrong-way driver on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Gardena temporarily halted traffic Friday, but no one was injured in the incident, authorities said.
At 1:44 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a wrong-way driver headed north on the southbound stretch of the 405 Freeway at South Vermont Avenue, Officer Alex Rubio told City News Service.
Officers encountered a man in a vehicle stopped in the slow lane of the freeway just north of South Western Avenue, according to Rubio.

The man was questioned, but no one has been arrested in the incident, Rubio said.
Traffic was temporarily halted on the freeway, but all lanes were cleared as of 2:40 a.m., he added.
