1 Dead, 1 Arrested In Van Nuys Boulevard Shooting

The shooting occurred outside a 7-Eleven in Panorama City.

PANORAMA CITY, CA — A person was shot and killed on Van Nuys Boulevard Thursday afternoon, and another person was apprehended in connection with the shooting.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. near a 7-Eleven at Arminta Avenue and Van Nuys Boulevard, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Division.

Police did not immediately release a shooter description nor a motive for the killing.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.

LAPD detectives continued to investigate the scene Thursday evening, Im said. The parking lot around the convenience store was cordoned off.
