Octogenarian Arrested In Fatal Grocery Store Parking Lot Shooting
The fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of an Amazon Fresh store near Westchester.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A 30-year-old man was shot and killed in the parking lot of an Amazon Fresh on La Cienega Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, and an 80-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after.
The shooting was reported shortly after 4 p.m. in the 6800 block of La Cienega Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Several witnesses told Fox 11 that a man and woman were arguing in the parking lot of the Amazon Fresh store when an older man came down from the balcony of an adjacent apartment building to intervene.

"The older man pulled out the gun," a witness told Fox 11. ``He pulled it out twice; first time he pulled it out like a warning and then as he was going to put it away he turned his back, the Latino gentleman took off his shirt like he was going to fight and started spewing derogatory statements at him and at that point the Black gentleman turned around and shot him."
Video taken at the scene and posted online showed an officer administering CPR to the victim, whose body was eventually covered by a white tent.

"The suspect has been arrested," confirmed LAPD Officer Tony Im.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name was not released.
