2 Children, LAPD Officer Injured In Head-On Crash: Driver Arrested

A vehicle crashed head-on into a Los Angeles Police Department patrol unit Sunday, injuring one officer and two children, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A vehicle crashed head-on into a Los Angeles Police Department patrol unit Sunday, injuring one officer and two children, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 3:23 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Crenshaw and West Obama boulevards in Leimert Park, according to the LAPD.

One officer and two children were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The officer was said to have stable vital signs, the department said.
