2 Killed, 1 Wounded In Manchester Square Shooting

Two suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two suspects were arrested in connection with a shooting in the Manchester Square area of Los Angeles that left two men dead and a woman wounded, authorities said Sunday.

The shooting was reported at 6:24 p.m. Saturday at Florence and Dalton avenues, Los Angeles Police Officer Jeff Lee told City News Service.

Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, Lee said. Video from above on NBC4 showed two white canopies in an alley.

The victims were described as men in their 20s. The wounded woman, about 35, was hospitalized with stable vital signs, according to a desk officer at the LAPD's Operations Center.

Patrol officers say they saw two suspects fire several rounds into a crowd in an alley, then flee, he said. They sealed off a perimeter and began a search for suspects with a helicopter and officers on the ground.

One suspect was taken into custody and another was barricaded inside a location, the desk officer said. The second suspect was later taken into custody during a subsequent search within the established perimeter.

It was unknown whether the shooting was gang-related.
