2 Killed When Car Flies Off 105 Freeway, Hits Tree And Splits In Half
Witnesses reported seeing the car racing another vehicle at high speeds before the crash.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Two people were killed in a dramatic early-morning crash Friday when their vehicle drove off the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway and into a tree, splitting in two, according to the California Highway Patrol and witnesses.
The crash occurred in the Athens area just before 2:30 a.m., according to the CHP. The vehicle came at the eastbound 105 and Normandie Avenue.
Both victims died at the scene.

Fox 11 reported witnesses said a white sedan had been racing with victims before the crash and drove away down the 105 Freeway without stopping.
Witnesses at the scene also said the victim's vehicle was split in two after crashing into the tree.
