2 Killed In Wrong-Way 210 Freeway Crash

The crash shut down the eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway for hours Monday morning.

MONTROSE, CA — Two people died in a wrong-way crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Montrose early Monday morning. Both drivers in the crash died at the scene, and one passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.

The crash occurred at about 2:45 a.m. on the eastbound 210 west of Rosemont Avenue. One driver was heading west in the eastbound lanes and slammed into the ther driver, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash shutdown all eastbound lanes of the freeway for hours for the investigation and cleanup. A SigAlert was issued and remained in effect until the lanes reopened at about 7 a.m. Monday.
