3 Hurt In Catalina Island Plane Crash
Two people are being treated for critical injuries after a small plane crashed on Catalina Island outside Avalon.

AVALON, CA — Three people were injured in a plane crash on Catalina Island Wednesday morning.
Los Angeles County Firefighters are responding to a small plane crash on the island that left two people in critical condition and one with moderate injuries. According to county firefighters, a small Cessna crashed on El Rancho Escondido Road shortly after 9:30 a.m. The crash did not ignite a fire, but it did cause a fuel leakage. Two air rescues have been ordered to transport the victims to the hospital.
The single-engine Piper PA32 went off the end of Runway 22 after landing, said Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration.
