3 Rescued From Sinking Fishing Boat Near Los Angeles Harbor
LAFD Boats 1 and 5 began de-watering operations in an effort to keep the vessel from sinking.
SAN PEDRO, CA — Three people were rescued from a 40-foot commercial fishing boat that was taking on water Saturday near Los Angeles Harbor, with no injuries reported.
Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded at about 3 p.m. Saturday to the vessel at 1 LA Light, south of Terminal Island, where firefighters safely removed all three people aboard, according to the department.
