4-Year-Old Killed In Pasadena Apartment Fire

Another child was critically injured in the blaze on East Washington Boulevard.

PASADENA, CA — A 4-year-old died and a 7-year-old were critically injured in a fire at a Pasadena apartment complex Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to the apartment complex in the 160 block of East Washington Boulevard near North Summit Avenue, according to Pasadena's public information officer, Lisa Derderian. When they arrived, they found two apartment units engulfed in flames.

The second-alarm fire was extinguished about 2:30 p.m., but fire crews remained on scene to investigate the cause, Derderian said.
