405, 101 Freeways Blocked During Rush Hour Commute
Motorists should expect major delays during rush hour Monday.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Sections of both the 101 and 405 freeways were blocked during the rush-hour commute in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday morning.
On the southbound 405, a disabled vehicle was blocking the right lane near the Sepulveda Boulevard exit beginning at 7:34 a.m., according to a Sigalert.
By 8 a.m., traffic was backed up about five miles to Roscoe Boulevard. Motorists were told to expect delays of up to an hour.

Nearby on the southbound 101, a crash blocked the center lane near the White Oak Avenue exit beginning at 7:20 a.m., according to a Sigalert.
Traffic was backed up three miles to the Winnetka Avenue exit as of 8 a.m. Motorists were told to expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

The crash and disabled vehicle were both cleared by 9:20 a.m., though traffic was still impacted.
