5 Injured In Fiery Metro Bus Crash
Two people were in critical condition and three others were injured when a vehicle caught fire after colliding with a bus in Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Five people were injured — two in critical condition — in a fiery bus crash on Normandie Avenue Friday night.
A Metro bus and a passenger vehicle crashed near 8225 S. Normandie Ave in South Los Angeles shortly after 8 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The vehicle caught fire, critically injuring two people. Two children in the vehicle and the bus driver suffered lesser injuries, said Humphrey.
About six people on the bus at the time of the crash escaped without injury. The critically wounded were rushed to nearby hospitals, Humphrey added.

The cause of the crash was under investigation. Drivers were advised to avoid the area Friday night.
