​6 Wounded In Shooting At Boyle Heights Bar

LOS ANGELES, CA — At least six people were sent to hospitals from a shooting Sunday inside a bar in Boyle Heights, authorities said.

A suspect is in custody and all the victims are expected to survive their wounds, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Officers were sent to the bar in the 2400 block of Whittier Boulevard at about 1 a.m. in response to a radio call of a shooting, Cervantes said. She said four males and two females were shot, and three of the victims took themselves to hospitals.

Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said paramedics took four people to hospitals.

Public directories list the business at 2471 Whittier Blvd. as the Holiday Bar. No further details were immediately available.
