SoCal Amber Alert Deactivated After 3 Children Found: Police

RIDGECREST, CA — An Amber Alert issued Wednesday afternoon for three children who were believed to have been abducted was deactivated after they were found, authorities announced Wednesday evening.

The children, ages 4-10, had last been seen around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the area of East Coso and East Las Flores avenues in Ridgecrest, according to the California Highway Patrol, who identified a 29-year-old man as a suspect.

The alert was issued for Kern, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, Imperial and San Luis Obispo counties.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the California Highway Patrol posted on social media that the alert had been deactivated and the children had been located.
