Amber Alert Issued For 3-Year-Old Boy Abducted During Carjacking In SoCal: CHP
The boy was last seen Monday night before he was abducted while sitting in a vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

LOS ANGELES, CA — An Amber Alert was issued on Tuesday to find a 3-year-old boy abducted during a carjacking in Los Angeles, authorities said.
Police are searching for a white 2006 Saturn Vue with California license plate 5SHE918.
Messiah Evans was abducted while he was sitting inside a vehicle near West 66th Street and Normandie Avenue around 10:30 p.m. A woman who was inside the vehicle at the time of the carjacking told police her ex-boyfriend tried to force his way into the vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man authorities are searching for was identified as 38-year-old Joshua Pendleton. He is not related to the child and it was an not known if Patterson was aware there was a child in the vehicle before he drove away, authorities said.
The Amber Alert was issued on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department. Authorities are asking residents in Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino and Ventura counties to be on the lookout for the pair.

Messiah weighs about 50 pounds and was last seen wearing a burgundy onesie, according to the CHP.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Pendleton or Messiah was urged to call 911.
